Membership Committee: We have rewritten lyrics to "Call Me Maybe?" but we need to learn the song, choreography and film the video. Meet and plan this out (after break)--get with Kayla about it because she knows the song. After you have it planned out, we will film!
We need someone to create a recruitment poster (digital or by hand). Submit ideas to me, and the chosen poster will be perfected for DLC!
Projects Committee: We need a fun way to raise money for Children's Miracle Network. We also need a good fundraiser for DLC. Be brainstorming and get your suggestions to me ASAP!
The Lion's Club Pancake Breakfast has been rescheduled for December 21 from 5:30-11:30. Please let me know when/if you can work. Thanks!
Scrapbook Committee: We will be hitting the scrapbook hard after Christmas break. Be on the look out for stickers, paper, etc... for your assigned page. And don't forget to attend your function to get pics!!
Beta/Key Club Mixer
The Beta/Key Club mixer will be rescheduled for after Christmas break. It will now be a New Year's party. I will update everyone later with a date.
...Heavy rain possible over portions of north central and west central Arkansas through this evening... .A storm system aloft will wobble from the mid-Mississippi Valley toward the Ohio Valley through this evening. At the same time, a weak cold front will drift into northwest Arkansas this evening. The interaction of the storm system and front will bring widespread showers and thunderstorms to the northwest half of the state. Parts of the west received heavy rain on Tuesday. Given additional precipitation, flooding will be possible north and west of Little Rock. ...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT... The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a * Flood Watch for portions of CENTRAL ARKANSAS, NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS, and WESTERN ARKANSAS, including the following areas, in CENTRAL ARKANSAS, Conway, Perry, Pope, and Yell. In NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS, Baxter, Boone, Marion, Newton, Searcy, and Van Buren. In WESTERN ARKANSAS, Johnson, Logan, Montgomery, Polk, and Scott. * Through late tonight * Parts of northern and western Arkansas could receive two to four inches of rain through this evening. Isolated higher amounts will be possible. * Given recent heavy rain, the ground cannot hold much additional water, especially in parts of the Ouachita Mountains of the west, and the Arkansas River Valley west of Morrilton. Flash flooding, as well as flooding along streams, creeks, and low- lying areas will be possible. Remember, if you encounter flood waters, turn around, don`t drown!
